Terms of Use

1. What ShopPilot is

ShopPilot is a WhatsApp-based bookkeeping assistant. It lets you record sales, expenses and debts by sending messages, and it sends you a daily summary of your business finances. It is a helper tool, not a regulated financial service or professional accounting software.

2. Early access

ShopPilot is currently in early access. This means the service is still being developed. Features may change, be removed or be temporarily unavailable. We will notify users of significant changes through WhatsApp.

3. Pricing

ShopPilot is free during early access. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will give existing users reasonable notice before any charges apply, and a free tier will remain available.

4. Using ShopPilot

You may use ShopPilot only for lawful business record keeping. You agree not to:

• Use it for illegal activities or to record fraudulent transactions.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack or disrupt the service.
• Resell or sublicense access to ShopPilot.
• Use automated tools to send bulk messages to our system.

5. AI and accuracy

ShopPilot uses AI to understand and process your messages. AI can make mistakes. Entries may occasionally be misread or miscategorised. You are responsible for reviewing your records and correcting any errors. Always confirm important figures before making business decisions based on a ShopPilot summary.

6. Your records

Your business records belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over the data you enter into ShopPilot. ShopPilot is a helper, not a replacement for professional accounting advice. For tax filings, audits or financial reporting, please work with a qualified accountant.

7. Limitation of liability

ShopPilot is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShopPilot and its creator are not liable for any financial loss, missed payments or business decisions made based on information from the service.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using ShopPilot at any time. If you want your data deleted, email us and we will remove it within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you through WhatsApp and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ShopPilot after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from your use of ShopPilot will be resolved under Nigerian law.
